Anyone who attended the first DUBSTOCK last year will have noticed a huge difference in this years show. Loads more traders, people and v-dubs plus 2 live bands, Boiler and Speed Triple. The only thing that hadn't changed was the weather - glorious sunshine again The Saturday started with some lovely people from Basingstoke arriving at 12pm very eager to start the weekend!! The evening was busy with cowboys and cowgirls - even a couple of Indians, chilling out with a beer while watching the 2 bands perform. The Poi fire display also went down well with many wondering how they didn't set fire to their clothes! Sunday saw the field fill with amazing v-dubs many of which I hadn't seen before and many familiar faces! The sight from the show and shine tent was awesome with 31 v-dubs entering the competition. My favourite had to be the black camper that won best custom type 2 it had a gorgeous interior. The gladiator bouncy was a definite hit - if you pardon the pun! Queues of people waiting to bash up their friends and family. All in all the weekend was a definite hit and we raised plenty of money for charity. I must say the thank yous now to, all the traders, everyone who helped out, the show and shiners, the 2 bands, Brian for the Poi fire display, Auto Finish for sponsoring us, caterers, bar, Rennsport for the water-cooled prizes, v-dubs united for organising the water-cooled, Arrow plant for the lighting, the lady who went round the traders getting more raffle prizes (sorry didn't get your name!!!) and most importantly all the visitors. Hope to see you all again next year - and please bring the weather with you again!!!! By Keli x (Purple Peril) |
